He’s moving forward. Junior Miles Miller (195) finished in third at the Avon IHSAA wrestling sectional, earning him a trip to the IHSAA Regional round at Mooresville on Saturday.

Speedway junior Miles Miller (195) and freshman Sebastian Francisco (113) will advance to the IHSAA regional round of the state tournament by virtue of their finishes at the Avon Sectional last weekend.

Miller finished 3-1 on the weekend and finished in third place at 195 while Francisco placed fourth.

Francisco (16-5) will face top-seeded Charlie LaRocca (31-2) from Center Grove in the opening match of the 113 pound division at the Mooresville Regional. Miller (24-6) will face Whiteland senior Blake Driver (26-7) in his opening match.

Speedway finished 11th in the team standings at the brutal Avon sectional. Other Sparkplugs picking up a win on the day included Correy Midgett (220), Braylyn Simpson (132), Vincent Simpson (138) and Tegan Petty (182).
