At ISSMA Solo & Ensemble District events this past Saturday, Brownsburg students received 27 gold ratings and 8 silver ratings. Out of the 18 Group 1 gold ratings, 14 soloists and 2 ensembles have chosen to advance to State Solo and Ensemble.

In addition, these BHS band students were named to the 2023 All-State Bands. They were selected to one of two prestigious ensembles after a rigorous audition process that included a pool of hundreds of applicants from all over the state.

Seth Koons – All-State Honor Band – Tuba
Colin Mendenhall – All-State Honor Band – Trombone 2

In addition, members of the East and West Orchestras brought home 64 gold medals from las weekend.

East and West Orchestra students brought home 4 Silver Medals and 64 Gold Medals. Alisa Bermudez, Calliope Chapman, Amelia Green, Alina Rentsch, Tyce Rowe, Brooklyn Unger, Olin Zemke, West Quintet, and the East and West Chamber Orchestras all received perfect scores.
