Brownsburg makes change to 2023-24 school calendar
At Tuesday’s meeting of the Brownsburg Community School Corporation Board of School Trustees, the Board approved the recommendation to adjust the 2023-2024 calendar to start on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
In addition, school will not be in session on Wednesday, November 22, 2023. After polling BCSC staff and families, 87% of staff and 80% of families expressed support for the calendar change. Also, 88% of staff and 80% of families preferred the change to be implemented for the 2023-2024 school year.
Also on Tuesday, the BCSC Board of School Trustees approved the recommendation to use our designation as a Performance Qualified School Corporation to not make-up the January 25 snow day. As was shared previously, Presidents Day will remain a holiday and school will not be in session Monday, February 20, 2023.
