Giants travel to Carmel Friday for huge test
Saturday’s 74-37 win over Gary West gave the Ben Davis boys basketball team a 20-0 record, the best start in the storied history of the program.
Things don’t get any easier for the boys, however, as they travel to Class 4A state power Carmel Friday night before hosting state power Class 4A Attucks Saturday night. Attucks is coming off a 61-51 win over Class 4A No. 2 Cathedral in the Indianapolis city championship game.
“That game kind of surprised me,” senior center Zane Doughty said of the Attucks win over Cathedral.
The Giants have been ranked No. 1 in Class 4A since early December. They have six regular season games remaining before the state tournament.
