Hendricks County basketball fans will be making trips to Terre Haute next weekend when the 48th annual IHSAA state girls basketball tournament begins.

Plainfield opens play in the Terre Haute South Class 4A Sectional 12 on Tuesday, Jan. 31 against Terre Haute North. Avon and Brownsburg fans will then make the trip west on Friday with Avon playing Terre Haute South and Brownsburg facing the winner of Tuesday’s game.
